I have been taking for 1 year. My MS symptons have improved a lot compared to when I was om Copaxone. Liver function/cholerstorol affected a bit on blood tests but not noticeable to me. I have had no relapses since being on gilenya

My daughter took it for 9 months no major side effects but developed three new active lesion. Developed seizes after 6 months on it but not sure if it was the medication or lesions so she was taken off it. She is off to the infusion clinic for 5 treatment of a new IV drug Lemtrada on Jan 11 2016. It Depletes the immune system and then rebuild it. I hope this works. Because she will be put thru a lot.

Yes, I have been on Gilenya. It definitely helps. I have had no side effects wit the exception of mildly raised liver enzymes. They really can't say Gilenya is the cause. Are you still in RRMS? Snice I have progressed into SPMS not sure how effective it is. It may work best for RRMS.

Michael1974. I have taken Gelenya 4.5 yr. good outcomes & no bad side effects. Be sure to fallow label directions to have 6 HR. Professional monitor at first dose. My heart rate went down to 50 beets/min. No lower. No problems. Best wishes!! @Timbofrog
