I am wondering if it is normal during the social security disability process to be asked to submit to another psychological exam provided by the social security administration. I have already provided the paperwork and outcome from a private exam.
So I met with the second doctor today. He is in agreement with my neurologist and previous psychological exam. The interesting thing is what the SS examiner told me after. He has been doing this for 33 years. In the 33 years he has only seen 3 cases get approved straight through. Those 3 cases were clear cases of severely mentally challenged cases. I am shocked! I hope this isn't the case. The other part of this is the SS didn't have a copy of either my neurologist or psychological eval. That is why the independent eval.
Unfortunately it is. Male sure all of your reports & things are from your actual doctor & not the nurse practitioner. They don't even look at them then.
@A MyMSTeam Member. Still a good sign. :)
He said he would write it up supporting my claim. It doesn't mean they will approve it!
@A MyMSTeam Member. That's great! Not that your mental prognosis is severe but you got an answer right away. I'm believing if I have to their docs they'll agree with my neuropsyc.
Thanks for the update!
