I tested positive several years ago prior to new breakdown method for blood and was removed from tysabri. however my sister tested positive before Tysabri but breakdown shows very small and she is on tysabri 3 years now with no new lesions. First Med to stop progression. Remember anyone can get JC virus and fight off naturally it is just our immune systems are compromised. Don't panic talk to neurologist

What was your score? You can be on tysabri if it is .9 or under. If a low positive, you are at the same risk of someone who is negatime for the 1st two years of treatment. Mine has gone down a few points since starting. It will fluctuate a bit but has stayed under 1. I'm almost at a year so then I will probably come off of it before the 2 yr mark. Some people stay on it longer and just monitor thier levels. Hope this helps!!

I have tested positive. I have seen my neurologist and they did another test and it was undetermined. I was also told there can be a false positive. Fear is the worst for your MS as well as your whole spirit. Keep open communication w/ your neurologist. I also had an MRI done and am going back to my dr. in Feb. He will go over my MRI and do another blood test. Please try to think positive, if you do not meditate, try it, I also do visualization, pray and keep a vision board going. I have had MS for over 30 yrs. so I been through a lot. I will be sending positive thoughts your way and keeping you in my prayers. This disease is hard so if I can answer anything or help you in any way, just let me know.
