Does anyone experience glossopharyngeal neuralgia where I guess the sinus areas such as eats, throat, and nose can be affected? I had though nothing of it except slight worry I was developing an ear infection but the doctor had just checked my ears days earlier and they looked great, but when I was chewing and sometimes here and there now still my right ear specifically gets this deep shooting pain that feels like it's in the ear drum, and then just now I found this name and term for it and that… read more
I have not had the ear pain and sorry you are experiencing that. I do have trouble swallowing sometimes and choke a lot...
That deals with dysphagia. I've had that before too and it's horrible and I still also choke a bit on liquids and sometimes foods just like my throat doesn't want to react as fast as it should to stuff coming down to be swallowed for consumption.
@A MyMSTeam Member - I had not heard of this, thanks for the info. So sorry you're dealing with it now though. *hugs*
I had severe ear pain and right facial numbness . It was trigeminal neuralgia. Have a session at cranial nerve 5. Check with your neurologist. Hope you feel better!
Dear thegreattaggini, I
I have seen your post and it was very interesting to read it as i have the same issue. I went to the ENT because of sharp pains in my left ear. There was no infection. They couldnt find it. 4 weeks ago one night the pain in my left ear was so intensive and i had even pain in my left side of my tongue. I could not touch my left side of face otherwise i have triggered the pain. I can also trigger the pain after eating food. At the hospital they diagnosis GLOSSOPHARNGEAL NEURALGIA. My MRT was clean and also the Liqor water. No neurological deficit has been found. I am still dealing with this problem. Is there anybod who deals with this issue? I would be very happy for every feedback. Thank you so much
