Anyone Taking Betaseron Or Did And Get The Red Spots? How Long Before They Went Away?

Anyone Taking Betaseron Or Did And Get The Red Spots? How Long Before They Went Away?

I have red spots from the injection sites that showed up days after the injection. I am running out of places to give myself this shot. How long do the red spots normally stay? Mine have been there over 2 weeks and every other day new ones appear.

Try taking ibuprofen before taking your shot then use a alveno lotion. Look on line for natural lotion you can make.

I took betaseron for years. I still have lumps (scar tissue) in my thighs from some bad site reactions. I found they eased in intensity over time. I did much better on stomach area.

Try Witch Hazel. Just rub on the injection site after the injection. It is a natural anti inflammatory. Also, massage the site for about 2 minutes after. I was on Rebif (had to stop) and I can still see the places I injected. It's so frustrating, so I feel you pain! I found that my stomach and hip did the best. No reddness and almost no sting during the injection. Couldn't do arms and my upper legs look rough. Good luck and hope this helps!

I had complete necrosis of the skin at my injection sites. Skin actually died and turned black. Was gross (sorry). Could not continue on BetaSeron.

I have red bruises at my injection site but after 33 years, Beteseron is my go to. I message my belly where I inject but I'm willing to put up with the bruising in exchange for my smooth gait and no new episodes.
