Hi all-
Have you had any eye pain without the loss of vision? I had optic neuritis twice in my other eye (left), so I am familiar with it. It was difficult and very painful. This is my other eye (right)- I've been having eye pains for a week (not as bad as optic neuro), but I am beginning to worry if this is a new attack brewing up in there or something else. I am afraid vision loss is next. Jeez, I hate this disease!
I am seeing my doctor in 2 weeks.
Anyone had something similar

Guys, thanks for all he comments. Please see above. I saw a doctor yesterday. No optic neuritis. Thank you for all the advice and wishes.
I've had eye pain many times. When it's persistent, it leads to Optic Neuritis. These days when i get eye pain I take lots of turmeric. It reduces inflammation. So far, so good.
When I got diagnosed with ms it was because of optic neuritis, my eyesight has never been the same since. I read somewhere that clemastine has been proven to reverse the effects of optic neuritis,I didn't believe it but thought I'd give it a try, so I've taken it for 3 months and i have noticed an improvement with my eyesight, so much so I can drive again.
I have had optic neuritis for over twenty years.,I do take tumeric for inflammation sometimes but mainly try your best to eat healthy and take your omega3 most days.
Back in the school year 1971-72 while in college, I had some pain seemingly behind the 1 eye. I went to the health center and they gave me some medicine for stress. I did not lose vision in the eye. I keep wondering if this and some other things going on may have been symptoms of MS. I also had a "trick" knee that kept going out on me. It was my right knee which is now part of my bad leg. My DIL saw an old picture of me, circa `91 or `92 where I was standing by a car and was leaning as in favoring my one side. I have never brought this up with my Dr. but I keep wondering if my MS symptoms go back farther than I know.
