My vision has been really bad the last few days, whether I'm wearing y contacts or glasses, my vision isn't working correctly. I know I need an exam soon, since it's almost been a year, but my sight usually doesn't change. I've been with the same prescription in my right eye for about 5 years. My left was the same until last exam when the put me in progressive lenses and change my left contact from a 2.5 to a 3.75.
Steroids the only treatment for it?
I had it in each eye for 2 months at a time. There was no pain. It was like I was looking through a clouded up window. If I was looking at the back of a car, I could see the outer edge of the bummers , but not the middle of the car at all. That is when I started Copaxone and it went away, thankfully.
Sounds like your sights changing as a result of age more than anything tbh, optic neuritis affects more than just the focus of your eyes.
With optic neuritis your eyes have trouble tracking things that are moving or whilst moving your head, looking at things when side on your eyes struggle to focus as they're a slight distance in difference away. It can create double vision, with images on top of each other rather than side by side.
I went from near 20/20 vision to only being able to see a foot in front of me in a short time, thankfully I've recovered to 90% after 2 years.
have your eye doctor check your optic nerve and field of vision asap
I have blurred vision also, I noticed it more after I've been on the computer.
