I'd say it's the normal jerking you get when you're overtired and you kinda jerk as you fall asleep, tremors continue on for a period of time and it's a shaking feeling, like you're freezing cold-shivering. This doesn't sound like tremors. The tongue issue sounds more like a seizure. Best contact your DR good luck

This was in middle of night.I just felt my body jerk. Woke me up and my tongue was touching back of my mouth. I usually do have jerks or twitches that keep me awake but this is first one to ever wake me up after already being asleep.

What kind of twitch? Its common for people (even non-MSer's) to have a sudden jerk during sleep usually after just falling asleep, its called hypnagogic jerk and can come on more frequently with sleep deprivation. It can feel like you've just stopped breathing cause its all of a sudden and pretty jarring when it happens. Is it that?

I get them and its like Ive just fallen off a cliff or just died in my sleep or something which hahaha I know didnt happen but it feels similar. They are not dangerous.

I have had seizures in past. Haven't had one in 12 years mind u but I usually pretty out of it afterwards. This I woke up to it. I don't know if I had tremor and where I was asleep it scared me more. But I agree it does sound like seizure. Hopefully not though. 12 years without any. And even then I only had 2. I often wonder if that was start of ms for me. Was 19 when had first one
