Members with MS connected over the topic of heat sensitivity, sharing how heat triggers their symptoms including vertigo, extreme fatigue, and weakness. Several members offered practical strategies for managing heat, such as using cooling towels, neck fans with water spray, cooling vests, and ice neck wraps, with one member noting they received a cooling vest through the MS Foundation by submitting an application with a doctor's confirmation. A recurring theme was the importance of listening to your body, planning ahead before outdoor activities, and leaning on MS organizations like the MSAA for resources and support.

I am currently waiting on a Cooling Vest from the MSFoundation. I filled out the application and sent it in. It came back wanting a Dr's confirmation saying that I have MS. Cooling towels help a lot if you don't mind getting a little damp. Who cares if it's 80 degrees out?

So how I don't think The subject of Heat was ever brought up. I was first Dx'ed in the early spring & it was 1988 so I really don't think it came up.

I'm allergic to cold but the last few years heat has bothered me - and being out in the heat sets off the vertigo if I'm out too long
