I Read That Some Vitamins Can "HELP" Some People With MS - But Is It B12???
Does anyone know anything about vitamins and MS?
I cannot recall 100%, but I think it was B12. (PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I WRONG)
My neurologist suggested b12, Vit D ( 50,000 IU once a week ), a b complex. I had a zero vitamin D level when I was diagnosed. The supplements did help 😊.
I use to take biotin for my hair but it made my thyroid levels off . I still take it just separate from my Synthroid medication 💊.
vitamin b6 & b12 5,000 r gd i take both everyday along with d3 5,000✊🏼
The Vit. D3 deficiency is NOT only due to MSer's and an intolerance for heat therefore not being in the sun AS much. But it is a vitamin that is crucial for the neurological symptom.
So if you figure that MS is a disease with damaged brains and spinal cords it's not too surprising that Vitamin D3 would be deficient.
My doctor is the head guy at Vanderbilt MS clinic in Nashville. He prescribes pharmaceutical 50,000 IU D2 for me. But this needs to be monitored with blood testing. You can overdose on vitamin D. And yes, he recommended taking vitamin B12 for energy.
I have a round turn table with all of my vitamins on it. Then I took 7 small plastic cups. I put monday- Sunday on each cup. I fill each cup once a week. This way I am more apt to take my vitamins daily, instead of missing days and even weeks, of taking my vitamins. All vitamins and supplements work much better if you are taking them EVERY day!🥰
What Vitamins Does Everyone Take? My Neurologist Has Me Taking D3 And B12 Injections.
