Does anyone have a service dog? Hate saying service!
Yes, my husband has PPMS and is in a wheelchair. Briley his service dog picks up things he drops, takes off his socks and can undress him. More important she will alert me if he's in distress and helps keep him focused.
Overall walking. I have 2 dogs now so I can't getting one, problem is I love animals so much he'll be too spoiled rotten to help me LOL!π
I have red a great deal of information about Balance dogs and MS. In Canada there is an organization called dogs with Wings. The States has a much larger breeding stock for service dogs. In Canada the waiting list is years and only months in the States. I have read that the cost of the dog is paid for by the organization and and other expenses like food, vet bill, supplies are a medical tax deduction in Canada. I understand that dogs that can not make the grade to become a seeing eye dog can sometimes make a wonderful balance dog! Only a dog that is professionally trained to be a service dog allows the tax credits and accessibility to come into businesses with you as it is a licenses service dog!
I don't have one I was looking into getting one so I asked on here. I called the ms society to get more info.
R U SERIOUS????
