My hand balls up on my affected side, which is my left. Does anyone know why and how to prevent it?

I was like that a couple years ago. My left side was and is affected since that was and is the side that always spasms. My neuro sent me to physical therapy for 6 weeks and haven't had that problem since. They taught me how to relax my hands and massage it. My dr said it's the nerves and the body does it to protect itself ironically when it's attacking itself. I hope I explained it right so y'all understand and not confused y'all lol ๐Ÿ˜Š

This is a symptom of mine also. It got my attention because I never hold my hand in this position. I have no idea what it means. Also looking for answers. :)
