helpful equipment for MS sufferers and their carers.
We carry an extra portaloo which means we can toilet Sue anywhere with privacy. The company I bought the wheelchair from suggested that we put one wheel on the inside. Hey presto it fits up the middle of the van. We use ours as our only vehicle and it works well. I'm thinking about doing a blog about MS and motorhomes. There are specialist companies in the UK who offer conversions, but they are very expensive. A bit of imagination and eBay and you can source most things at a fraction of the price. Good luck.
Yes, Sue has a raise and recline chair and bed. We have a stair lift and a commode w/c. I get Sue into our motorhome using an Autochair Milford hoist. BUT we hope to get her walking again with the help of our Oswestry standing frame and exerciser.
For me it's my raise and recline chair... and bed... with out them i'd really struggle.... i also have a stair lift and a seat in my shower....
Thank you.... I shall look into it more abd we'll have a good look around and see what is available.... and see how things will work for us ... :)
We bought a hoist on eBay which gets Sue into The passenger seat, then we have a transfer stand to a small wheelchair which I take up the other end off the van. We have 2 single fixed beds. The van is 6 metres long and is a 2005 model. Any other questions, I'll be pleased to help with.
