Always check with medical people who are reliable before you do that! That being said I used Avonex breiefly and since I've been at this for a while (30+ years now) you have to do what's best for you and your monster ( my term of endearment for this rotten,awful disease) . Maybe your health care team would adviise you of other possible options. Ie. Oral meds to use during the trip? It really NEVER hurts to call and be persistatant for your best options! We're really all on the same team :-)

This is not a good question for me...I do not take any MS drugs. What does Avonex do for you? All I have ever been told about any of the MS drugs is that it will give you fewer episodes (fewer than what?) and it postpones being in a wheelchair (really?). I would avoid the sun, stay cool, and enjoy your vacation.

Avonex is one I have not taken.
One thing I have ALWAYS done on vacation though, you can get a mini-fridge wherever you stay for your Rxs (kinda like if you were diabetic).

I have skipped a week here and there. I understand not wanting the side effects while on vacation. Did you ask your neurologist?
