Hi how are you? Are any of the team members from Canada using Ampyra? I was told that it is not available in Canada. Is that the case? If it is can it be Rx here and bought in US?

Type Ampyra into the search box and you will find many pages to review. Fampyra is what it is called outside of the USA, it is the same drug.

Ampyra is the only MS drug prescribed for mobility problems. I've been taking Ampyra for 2 years, it started working for me within 2 days, and I would not be walking today without it.

I take ampyra and it helps me walk and stay standing. Contact patient assistance in the US at Customer Service (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators) to see it they can help.

Unfortunately, it didn't help me; my gait actually worsened! Since my dx, I've been on Extavia, Fampyra, Tecfidera and now I'm on Tysabri. I'm getting very frustrated!

Planning to go talk to my family doctor as soon as I can about fampyra, I have not seen my neurologist since I asked him about his opinion and support for CCSVI procedure - he was extremely negative and unsupportive because I was a non compliant patient and that was the end of that for me 😀
