That story is crazy because Agent Orange does not always show effects until it shows them. What I mean is alot of Vietnam Vets had this exposure and may have been able to lead a "normal" life till they began to show signs of illness such as cancer. I know this because my dad is one of those Vets. Those military Dr's are aware of how MS progresses and how it's different for each person. It makes me very angry because our Soldiers chose to serve and have to sometimes work so hard to get things that they need and deserve! Sorry I will get off my soap box now...Everyone enjoy your day.
Thank you, that was my feeling. Will the VA and others now start basing the percentage of disability on if we are completely bedridden or with tunes and oxygen hooked up to us? We do sometimes have good days.
One of my biggest fears I have been having. I am with everyone else you have your good days and your bad. There have been days where I trip over a curb or up the steps because my foot doesn't come up. There are many days where we all look fine. Or look fine to the world outside but hurting like hell on the inside. I push myself to the limits all the time and to much. I am seeing this as becoming a problem I don't want to have to hide in doors or avoid being seen because some may accuse us of faking. I am far from faking but I tell you if this is the way it is going to be than I would rather be dead.
Tired of the judgmental society we live in.
@A MyMSTeam Member my brother in law suffers from the chemical Agent Orange also. He has stage 4 kidney disease, CHF, and lung failure that requires him to be tethered to oxygen 24/7. He too shows symptoms of MS but can't prove it. It's sad that he is just waiting to die.
My brother is a vet in Illinois and is fighting cancer and because of the ignorance of the delay of the VA in Indiana he has more health issues he is dealing with because of their lack of consistency
