|My neurologist suggested wrist weights to help keep my hands from straying when I try to write, this is helping but does anyone have any other helpful tips?
I have a rice ball or foamy ball to squeeze and I color an adult coloring book. That seems to help me! Good luck?
Don't feel like an idiot - especially for people in our position, where physical pain and mental and emotional pain are part and parcel of this illness, we sometimes do things that don't necessarily help our disease but make us feel a lot better in the short term. Try to find some support and perhaps a prescribed smoking cessation aid. Every time you smoke you create the potential for a creating a mini exacerbation, similar to the effects of heat and stress on our bodies. STOP SMOKING WITH US! Slow the progression of your MS and the additional damage to the brain. Remember we're here for you! 🤗
I have a set of hand weights that are DANGEROUS because I accidentally THROW them everywhere!
I give up :-(
JulieSitarskiWinner-my daughter mentioned an adult coloring book,I'm gonna try that too! The wrist weights help a lot they keep my hand from flying off the page but I still need to control my fingers.
Before M.S. I had bad handwriting but legible. I have had Ms 20 yrs and my handwriting has gone bonkers. I thought my printing would stay okay. Guess what is is gone down the tubes as well. My fingers do not bend the way they should and they hurt. So, my husband prints for me and my friends help as well. Anytime I sign something I still do. I will be looking into some legal way to use X before to long.
