I have never had issues with my eyes. But I am seeing spots . my eye is blurry on the left side and it hurts .. should I start with my neurologist ? Or make an appointment with an eye doctor? I dont need a referral with my health insurance.

I just want to go to the right place once so I can try to feel better.

I know I'm probably late to this but I'd recommend your neuro. I've been having vision problems for 4 months. The opthamologist swore I didn't have optic neuritis and my eyes were perfectly healthy. She was right (and made me feel slightly crazy). The neuro did an MRI and there is a lesion on my optic radiation causing my eye problem. He even did an evoked response test which confirmed the eye problems.

Yes, I had the same issue this year. I made the eye appointment first. If they find anything they will give u a referral to the neurologist.

If you've been already diagnosed. There's specialist in NeuroOphtalmology, that understand the symptoms of OpticsPlanet Neuritis due to MS... Your regular Neurologist will most likely refer you anyway, for an eye exam, according 2 your symptoms. I'll be doing the same, so it comes from personal experience. Sometimes I have Blurry vision lately, so I need an exam, so He said
