My MS nurse practitioner that came to my home gave me some advice on this. I take baclofen and she told me to eat a lot of protein. I have found that beer battered fish help my legs with the baclofen.
I eat fish a lot to help. I only take one baclofen or none. Depends on how my legs feel.
Hello Adrienne,
Hope you are well today.
I get this all the time too; numb toes especially. My consultant prescribed Pregabalin (Lyrica) which has helped, but it is a pretty powerful medicine, it took a bit of getting used to. It might be worth asking on your next clinic visit if it might be helpful to you.
Love,

it about killed me before figured out what was causing it. of course dr said wasn't that medicine but i came back to my sanity after stoped. i wasn't living just existing
Hello I to took lyrica and it helped with pain for awhile then it went to depression. I took it for three years and getting off of it was horrible. It took a year for the withdrawl. The stabbing in the head was unbelievable. Be careful.
I don't drink beer or any other alcohol. I just eat the fish sticks. It's something in the beer battered that seems to help me. I know the fish is protein. Try eating it during a week and try it.
