OK. So, sadly, things for me are getting worse, but I would like to find employment despite my body wanting to constantly battle me. Are there good sites that support job searches for disabled clients out there? Or am I stuck trying to survive retail with no accommodations? Looking to do at home work if possible considering my crappy yet temporary location.
Well I said churches but it could be any helping agency around where you live, MS society could have a list of places where they help people financially... Good luck...
Background in customer service, electronics, and photography. Working at Meijer currently (which is nicer than Wally World). However, 8 hour shifts murder me. I'm only part time, but how it's divided is a tad crazy. I'm ok in dealing with people, that is never a problem. What is a problem for me is management miscommunication. I love the people I work with, but I have to have a clear idea of what is wanted and needed as well as some sense of control.
If you are not currently receiving SSI benefits you should apply. They have options where you can work and still receive your benefit. There may be possibilities at some of the chain stores like Walmart hiring greeters. Also go to mdrc.com, a site that may be of help.
I am working with VOR or D.E.S.E. They help me interview apply for. jobs.
I know that JLodge out of Florida hires disabled people. I worked from home as a customer svc rep for over a year (before I had to quit due to cancer). I loved it, not too stressful and good peep to work with. I'd try that.
