How Many People Are On Tysabri And If So Are You JCV Negative Or Positive?
I have had 26 tysabri infusions and have been jc positive since the beginning. My blood is tested every 6 months and I have a mri every 6 months. At the moment the benefits out way the risk. I will stay on tysabri until I believe risk is too high. This for me has been an amazing treatment. I was on Copaxone for 6 years but towards the end it wasn't working and I was having huge relapses. Since I started tysabri I have not had a single relapse
I was positive before beginning Tsyabri
So my max is 2 years and a brain MRI every 6 months to keep a look out for that darn PML
The benefit has outweighed the risk as My spinal lesion load went from 4 to 19 within 1 years time
Amazing! I also was on copaxone with little benefit. Thanks so much for sharing :)
I was on Tysabri for almost a year a month before my year anniversary had a bad relapse and turned out I was JVC positive. Was admitted to hospital for spinal tap and steriids. Tap came back good so the dr had me stop the Tysabri. Now will be in a blind trial for a new drug.
Hi everyone, I'm really new to this. I'm currently in tysabry but got on it before getting my JCV results back. Turns out they were positive and having been doing the infusion for 3 months already. My doctors recommended to stay on tysabry until February and then change to Alemtuzumab given the results the JCV results. Is this OK? I'm kinda scared. Tysabry has helped me gained back my mobility and "I'm almost back to normal"
