I will be Starting Glatopa on Friday!I was Just diagnosed on 11/14 after a sudden onset of Optic Neuritis. Other than that, I have had no other problems. Any advice on taking this? I have read so many pros and cons.

DMD they are disease modifying drugs... copaxone has been around for a very long time Glatopa is the generic. It is the safest drug out rher3 the least amount of side effects. It is also the first drug most nueros put you on after a dx
I have been on Copaxone and recently my insurance made me switch to Glatopa. Best advice I can give is don't use the auto inject it's much more painful plus you have 100% control of the shot if you self inject.

I've been on @Copaxone since 2008. Symptom free and minor injection-site reaction. Was switched by my insurance to @Glatopa in August. The injection-site reactions were unbelievable. Rash and bruising that turned into what looked like a skin infection (peeling, scabbing). Took 4 weeks to heal and there are scars. Fortunately after only 6 doses (40mg 3x week) my neurologist got me switched back.
If @Glatopa is causing you discomfort, work with your neurologist to get you switched off.

Not to sound ignorant but What are DMD's? My insurance would only approve Glatopa.

There are other DMDs that are much more effective.
