What are your thoughts of vitamin
D and how much do you take? Does it help?
It depends as to whether or not you have been tested to have a vitamin D3 difficeny and actually have a deficiency. Though research has been done in recent years that indicates that a Vitamin D deficiency has been assocatied with MS, not everyone that has MS has Vitamine D3 defiency. For example I've been tested and do not have a difficeny despite having MS.
Do not recomment taking any amount of Vitamin D3 based solely based on information from this forum. Recommend that you have either your primary care physician or nuero have you tested. If you have a difficiency you doctor will tell you exactly what to take.
I take 15,000IU of D3 daily. I think it helps... there is a bit of research showing the connection between low D3 levels and MS.
I'm very monitored through blood work every three months. I'd consult your doctor before starting. I hope this helps
While we are on the subject of vitamins , doctors love the idea. Speaking from my own experience it was my rehab doctor. So even if you do not have a rehab doctor, so no matter who your doctors, they are not trying to harm you, but trying to make you better.
I take 5 thousand units in the morning and that is all, but if my doctor w. I imagine if my brain doctor is the one who orders the meds.
To ease your fears vitamin D is helps in many health problems. he last I visited the eye doctor, and my left eye is growing stronger than the right. So as you can see vitamins are beneficial to your health!
