The lymph nodes in my neck are swollen. Some days more so then others. Is this to do with MS?
I found out that it is my salivary glands that are swollen in my neck. Doctors just said "that can happen" and as long as it is not painful or causing problems, it can be "normal" and they just let it be.
But I'm not on any meds of any kind. Been swollen since November. Had blood tests done and ultrasound and all is good. Docs say it could be a virus.. I dont know as they are getting more swollen.
I believe that it is caused by certain DMD meds. Some trap white blood cells in the lymph nodes to keep them from attacking the myelin sheath on the nerves and causing more lesions.
I have noticed my lymph nodes have been swollen the same, some days more than others. was diagnosed in July, started copaxone in October. Stopped in Dec due to pregnancy. In the fall I had a few colds, and thought it was due to that, but will be asking my dr. at my next visit. In addition to the two bigger ones just under my jaw line, I just had a sore spot pop up on the side of my neck, very small but I think it is also a lymph gland.
I am nit sure but I would get it checked from your primary care doctor to figure out what's going on. I hope you get better
