Has anyone experienced the jerking/involuntary movement of legs when he/she feels itchy in lower body (from the but down). It happens to me everytime I feel itchy, to someone looking it looks like I'm kicking, and it happens so sudden and is embarrassing. It happens on one leg at a time, depending on which side of the lower body is itching. What I would like to know is is it a neurological problem? If so, how did you overcome or treat it.

I like gabapentin, too! No side effects either.

For me it's gabapentin that helps. My legs don't really work, but they sure want to jerk and kick outta nowhere. I've been told so many things about them and why they do what they do I've lost track. Best thing to do is talk to your neuro about it and see if they want to do a nerve conduction test to test for neuropathy or other things. Good luck!

Hi Fundi
Yes I get that to, normally in the evening when I'm tired. I also get sudden stabbing pains that make my legs jump and I have to massage the jab pain away. Baclofen is the best drug for this, Abby2 is correct, so tell your doc.
Hope you are good today.
