** SORRY SO LONG, BUT PLS READ & GIVE ME UR FEEDBACK/ SUGGESTIONS. THX!! VERY MUCH APPRECIATED
I've had ms for about 15 years now and although I was initially diagnosed with RRMS, I have found over the years that I never actually have any period of time that is even close to a remission. Since the onset of the disease, I've had ALL of my symptoms ALL of the time. Immediately after diagnosis with multiple lesions on brain as well as spine at age 22, my neuro had me do 5 days of Solu-Medrol… read more

When I took oral prednisone I felt like a million bucks! I begged to stay on it, but the doctors said, "Sorry, its not good for you." Then I got 3 days of IV Solumedrol in the hospital and MAN was it sucky! (medical term) My face got so big my glasses wouldn't fit my head. I gained 10 lbs and felt edgy and depressed. Then came the withdrawals -- joint pain so bad I could barely hide my grimacing at work, and edema in my ankles and feet that felt like waddling on meat stilts. I will NEVER do IV steroids again!

On the other hand, B-12 shots have seemed to help! Buzzing, zaps, and numbness go away soon after an injection and then start coming back in about 7-10 days.

Upon withdrawal of steroids, I experienced a high level of psychosis So emotionally painful, that I can't take steroids for a relapse. I can't take IVIG as I am allergic to something in the IVIG mix.

Now I'm told the only thing left for me for relief of relapses is something called plasmapheresis.

They helped me right away. The first 5 day one I did I felt like I was 20 years old again. The crash is a different story. Make sure you wean off correctly. There is such a thing as steroid withdrawal
