I'm starting to experience aching like pain in my larger muscles of my arms and legs. Occasional spasm like pain also in my feet. What causes this?

Nerve damage. I believe spasms are caused by your body always being tense. If you sit back and notice you will find your body is not really relaxing it's tense. That is why they prescribe baclofen and the such.

I had severe pain (level 10) in my right arm up to 6 times a day and up to an hour in length for 2 years with little help from traditional pain meds. My doctor suggested that I go on Tegretol (both chewables (100 mg - 1 or 2 as needed) and regular (200 mg - i in the AM and 2 at night). I no longer have the pain. I did recently have a hospital stay where they failed to give me this med and the pain returned until I started taking the Tegretol again. Good luck.

I know in my case its neurogenic/neuropathic pain and spasms so I take Baclofen and lyrica which sometimes gives a little ease, also tonic water helps with the leg cramps

I have burning pain in my feet I think this is nerve pain not so intense that I need painkillers. I get cramps in my feet that only stop when I stand on them. Upper arm pain but I think this is muscle strain/fatigue as arms help a lot with leg movements when walking because my balance is so poor with or without a walker. Hope this helps x

I have experienced this for years and it has been worsening. I am on muscle relaxants and have recently been started on Magnesium with Vitamin D. The muscle spasms started with just aching and an occasional spasm, but have developed into full on cramps from my hips, down to my toes. I have to stand up and wait for them to subside. I hope that this helps
