I've had MS for 21 years and I am going through the pre tests to see if I will be accepted for Lemtrada. I know the side effects are scary, but I do want to keep the disease from progressing. I am already 59 so really want to get serious about it as my disease has progressed also. I am looking at this drug on a positive note and hope for the best.

@A MyMSTeam Member I was diagnosed in 1999 some are saying it works best for people who have no had MS for a long time.

Lemtrada I don't feel has worked for me. I still feel my body body progressing even though my last three MRIs have been clear good luck to you this disease is such a journey

Thanks Cheryl. I saw my neuro yesterday and he decided to put me a Gilenya for one year instead of starting Lemtrada. He said we will wait to see how the new one does, Cladribine and Lemtrada. Just got my phone call Gilenya nurse today to get things started.

I finished up my 2nd dose Feb.2017 had MRI in Jan. 2018 and no lesions. I see my neuro on the 17th. Sorry the response took so long I haven't been on here in a long time. Good luck and drink lots of water.
