Can you still have the same type of deep cleaning and tooth extraction if you need it, even though we have MS ?
I had a tooth pulled and the oral surgeon would not put me under. He did know how to handle MS.
I am not aware of any restrictions but like Mizmaria said tell your dentist!
Since I like stories here is a true one. In the Army they took out all four of my wisdom teeth at the same time. The funny part is I was walking back to the barracks without my cover on (hat) and a sergeant saw me and came flying over yelling at me. I opened my mouth to explain, I was in a lot of pain. Blood came pouring out of my mouth, I mean gushed right out. The sergeant stoped short and stared at me with wide eyes. To this day I remember what he said "Drive on soldier, drive on!" In my mind it is funny now 🤓
After meals and when I get up and go to bed. I never want a caviety again! I have been doungg this for several years now and have not had a caviety in just as long!
Never had issues aside from reminding doctor that I do have facial spasms as well as my arm(s) will tremor at times and there's nothing I can do about stopping it - just have to wait. Don't want him freaking and thinking I'm suddenly in pain! lol.
That being said, I'm now required to take an antibiotic before any and all dental work due to my knee replacement - - go figure!
Just make your dentist aware of what meds you're on.
