When my legs collapsed under me at work & I went to the hospital my MRI showed 35+ lesions but my lumbar puncture results showed nothing unusual. I was still diagnosed with MS. They concluded that it may have been too early in my progression for my lumbar puncture to reveal anything conclusive since everything seemed to be progressing rapidly (I had developed 10+ lessons within 2 weeks & had several new symptoms). I would probably get a second opinion if all other signs point to MS. Either way I hope they can correctly diagnose you soon! Keep pressing for answers. Best of luck!

Frustrated with ya! I have white matter lesions in brain that have been watched for a couple years...but docs said probably from migraines. With last MRI, there are 3 new lesions and now he is saying MS. Recent LP is negative. Only symptom is fatigue. Going for second opinion before starting meds! Think a second opinion would be helpful to you as well.

I got a slightly high lumbar positive. However based on the MRI's, spinal tap, full on nerve conductivity test using volume and sound plus shocking me, and some blood ruling out Lyme disease and other things I was told by my first neurologist "I'm 99% sure you have MS" .... The vitamin B deficiency is new, I have never heard of that. However when I went to the ER when I suddenly got painful neuropathy, I was told it was allergies despite my having MS. Years later, I assume MS first, then check other things off later ;)

Yes...I had a positive MRI and had only 2 out of 3 titers in my spinal fluid. A neurologist with specialy said it was still MS.
