I had a bout with it in the beginning after a few days my voice came back. It started on a Sunday right after church outta nowhere my foie just went from hoarse to barely anything. By that Wed or Thursday my voice was back. Didn't find out until several yrs later it was the MS.

@A MyMSTeam Member. I too sing background in our church choir and have the same difficulty. I also sometimes feel like my vocal cords are being squeezed and I can't seem to get enough air sometimes. As I've said I didn't realize it was MS until recently. After all our vocal cords are made up of muscle and nerves. Our diaphragm is a muscle which are both vital in singing.

But I refuse to quit. I just try and sing where I'm comfortable.
Be Blessed!

My hoarseness comes and goes, but singing is extremely difficult.....trouble staying on pitch new which is very frustrating. This has gone on for about 6 weeks.

Thanks meissie! I recently became a soprano after singing alto/tenor last year in church choir. I too, don't have the breath support I used to have.
Blessings back to you!
