Just finished my first dose of Ocrevus. First dose is split into two sessions, two weeks apart. My second will be in November, 6 months after the first. So far, I haven't had any noticeable side effects other than exhaustion. That is subsiding each day ....

If you are considering this drug, please keep in mind the purpose of this drug is to halt the progression of MS. You will no doubt read about symptoms getting better. I have so many symptoms, time will tell. Although I have noticed… read more

Members shared their experiences starting Ocrevus for multiple sclerosis, with many reporting meaningful improvements including reduced brain fog, better mobility, decreased neuropathy in legs and feet, and less severe fatigue, though most noted that noticeable benefits took three to four months to appear. Several members offered practical infusion tips, including drinking plenty of water two days before and after treatment to reduce headaches and help with IV placement, bringing snacks and hard candy for dry throat, eating a good breakfast, and planning extra rest for a few days post-infusion. A recurring theme was cautious optimism and mutual support, with members emphasizing the importance of patience, staying hydrated, coordinating surgeries with neurologists to time them near infusions for optimal healing, and celebrating even small improvements as victories in managing a difficult disease.

@A MyMSTeam Member - after my first infusion, if I wasn't drinking enough water, my headache and other symptoms were worse. It was pretty important for me, and I have heard from some other Ocrevus patients that they have had similar experiences. I started drinking an increased amount of water 1-2 days before each infusion to help with getting the IV started as well as to help my body process the medicine during the infusion. I also drank a good amount of water and fresh pressed juice each infusion. It definitely helped me :-) I hope it goes well for you!
