I didn't know this site existed. I though it was illegal for drug companies to pay doctors. My old ms doctor has already received a couple million dollars for various speaking engagements. My current doctor looks like she only received about 200 dollars for amenities like food.. You can search your doc in this link

None of mine are on the list I'm glad to see. There had been a lot in the news recently about docs getting paid by pharmaceutical companies to sell their drugs. There is a lot of debate re: criminal vs ethical liability. There is an opiate called Subsys that has Fentanyl in it in very strong doses (upwards of 1000x stronger) that has killed a lot of people. It is ONLY meant for breakthrough pain for CANCER patients and is highly addictive but docs were getting paid kickbacks for everybody they prescribed the drug to. Most of the doctors have had their medical licenses taken away and there is a major Lawsuit going on right now because they were prescribing the drug for patients with back pain, arthritis, and many other ailments when they did not have Cancer. They just did a segment on 20/20 or Dateline. Here is a link about the drug and founder of the company:

I am currently on Fentanyl Transdermal Patches (100mcg), Dilaudid and Morphine to but it is managed through a specialized pain management clinic and they run urine and blood tests every two months. I know it sounds like a lot and it is if I am to be honest but I have MS, Breast Cancer, Heart Disease, high blood pressure that reaches stroke level b/c I have an autonomic disorder making it difficult to control normal BP levels. I'm also very careful to only take as directed and I often wait until the pain is unbearable. I'm dependent on the Fentanyl after being on it for 5 years but w/o it I'd have to be hospitalized because of the pain.

Not sure if this helps at all.....

Mine is on there but she along with many other doctors worked on the clinical trials for Tecfidera. They also earn income for speaking engagements. My doctor is very honest about it. She's definitely not in it for the $$ So I wouldn't read too much into this.

I just looked up the two docs I've been to and one was $42,000 and the other is $142,000. WOW!!!!!
