I know my best MS friend had major dental problems and had to get dentures. She then had a big flair up. I recently read someplace that dental problems / work could cause a flair up I am going to the dentist at then end of the month and I am afraid dentures are in my near future. My mouth gets so dry at night it's like I have a mouthful of cotton. I do use the mouthwash (I forget the name) that is for dry mouths but it only seems to last a short time. Deborah I had a feeling most of my teeth problems were from the MS. I know the bottom teeth are to far gone to save them unless I had a LOT of money to fix them--which I don't. :-( I hate to get top dentures and I do have a bridge from a while ago. Just have to find out what another bridge will cost. I had ins. before but now I don't :-(
I had 11 teeth pulled about 8 years ago and now have partials. Had no problems in the process. The rest of my natural teeth seem to be fine. The ones they pulled were breaking and chipping a little bit at a time over a period of years. My dentist said it MAY have been due to MS
