So I stopped my Ampyrha to see if it works for two weeks. Borderline it is helping. Think it may help with reflexes driving, but heat could be the culprit.

Anyway I started it again last Friday, now I notice it is causing me to have more Retention issues. Think I may have a bladder infection from not going as much now. Stopped it today. Anyone else have this issue. Get so sick of the bladder and infections. Just to be normal...walking, peeing. Never ends. 😬

@A MyMSTeam Member Yes I had the test, talk about a classy test line u said. I don't think it proved anything we didn't know already. I think that test was more degrading then anything. I am going to look up that drug. You never know. Thanks....

Im just seeing these @A MyMSTeam Member I dont have retention isssues its an overactive bladder for me. Pee all time! But not drinking enough can be really bad
Hope feedback does help. Seeing a Urologist that understands MS is best. I'm bummed mine moved and haven't found another yet but the things I'm doing seem to be working. Anothrr thing learned about recently was that after giving birth we should've been doing ALot of pelvicfloor exercise! But good news is never too late. So says my GYN think I'll Check out the ICON panties see if can get away from wearing Depends all time

One of the side effects of Ampyra is uti's. I've had 3 so far this year, so I'm going to ask my neurologist what he thinks about stopping taking it. Also, I retain urine so I had to start catheterizing 2 years ago. I had fought it for years, but it's really not bad.

I was having retention issues with my over active bladder. I also tried cath. but it was never worth the out put levels left to bother with. I also have numb hands and feet. Did you have a urinologist test, man thats one classy test, Ha ha. But my med keeps everything under control now. My urologist said there is cheaper types of meds to help with a spastic bladder but she wouldnt even bother trying them on me because they dont work the same.
