Has anyone had elevated liver enzymes taking Ampyrha?
Mine r elevated and I have been off all MS drugs since April waiting for Ocrevus next week. Had monthly steriods.
Thanks
All of the DMDs approved to treat MS carry warnings about their potential to cause high levels of an enzyme known as alanine aminotransferase (ALT).. However Ampyra is not a DMD and if you ever read the information that comes attached to each bottle elevated liver enzymes is not listed as a side effect.
It's advised that you discuss this matter with your doctor particularly since it appears that your AST/ALT numbers didn't return to normal after having stopped your previous DMD to deternine whether or not there has been any damage to our liver. Additionally review all other medications that you're currently taking that might be impacting your ALT/AST numbers even though you are currently not on a DMD.
