I was dx Christmas '05, '09 I started to realize my legs would feel like they are giving out AND I would find myself short of breath at the same time. I have not been dx with any breathing disorder (I have had much testing), but I do have a rescue inhaler. When I use it, my breathing returns to normal and then the leg weakness returns to normal (for me). Neither my neurologist nor my (escapes me now) breathing doc have ever heard of anything like that. How would the two be associated w/ each… read more
@A MyMSTeam Member I have not considered allergies. The scary thing is, neither has my neurologist. At least, if he has, he hasn't mentioned it to me. I have an appt. with him on eclipse-day, so I will re-visit the topic. In the mean time, I will check the link @A MyMSTeam Member has suggested I read.
@A MyMSTeam Member Please don't get frustrated, do something about it and you are; it's been happening to me too. Try creating your post in Word or Notes Page first so all you have to do is copy and paste it into your MyMSTeam page. I'm going to start doing that myself because it's not just this website that it's happening to me on.
Interesting though how it only seems to happen on my iPad and not my laptop. What type of device are you using? It's got to with the machines we're using. Check it out for yours, search online to see what other people have done to either fix the bug or get around it. That's what I'm going to do. If you use an iPad let me know, no use in both of us looking the same one up.
Thanks for mentioning it and bringing to my attention and I'm sure others are glad they're not the only ones with that problem too.
I get so frustrated with this site. More often than not, I will create a post and when I am almost done, it will disappear. I can't find it anywhere. @A MyMSTeam Member , I had written a comment to you, and it has gone off somewhere into the WWW.
The amount of activity and how heated you get can indeed play into what's happening to you. I found an article about MS and breathing problems which was interesting. When you take that and other factors into consideration, it's possible; at least I think it is. You'll have to read it and see what you think.

I would not suspect diaphragm spasms. Your heart beat and breathing are part of the autonomic nervous system. These nerves do not have Myelin, therefore MS would not affect these.
With that being said, do you have allergies?
