Ok., so my calves feel like they have Charlie hoses and I would love to go to sleep, for thsecomd day. Called the doctor yesterday, silll haven't heard from them. I would like to know if they think I'm having an exerbation or not.
After 2 and a half weeks they will defienetly take it as a new MS symptom...start of a relapse.
How many days have you have the Charlie horses? Have you had this type of Charlie horse in the past? The nurses will ask if you've been out in the heat. (24 hr could be over a little bit exasterbation/relapse) The nurses will probably ask if stretching helps and if your experiencing anything else that you think is unusual. The nurses line is closed on Friday. However you could give them a call monday. I would when is a reasonable time to wait for the symptoms to subside, if stretching isn't working, Epsom salt, or Icy hot doesn't work...ask if there is something they can give you for it. They'll ask you to report to them if it gets worse or you have other new* symptoms.
Call them back. Again and again, even if they act like bitches and say they have the doctor today message. You have to use trigger words. get their intention. Like, if I don't hear from Dr. Fuck face by the end of the day I'll go to the emergency room and tell them my doctor wouldn't respond. If you say anything about chest pain or difficulty breathing, they put you on the top of the list. Next call to the doctor tell them now you're having chest pain now, too. Good luck
Not sure my calves hurt frequently. My Neuro says it's part and parcel. I have found epsom salt baths really help with it. Along with some ibuprofen
Spasticity. My neuro said it comes from the brain signals. Klonopin. Baclofen.
