Has anyone noticed weight gain while taking gabapention. I don't want to gain my weight back. I've also noticed my kidneys hurting. I'm thinking about not taking it anymore but it does help my pain and my mood

I hear you! I took Copaxone from 2012 - 2014, stopped it because of the welts I was getting that would not go away. I still to this day have some on my upper arms. I did not find the Copaxone stopped exacerbations and made the decision based on my body. I too use the lidocaine patch but the tens unit seems to hurt me more. I am still on the gabopentin, and also take Amitriptyline. just started taking Hempanol which is a CBD and it seems to be working better than Aleve. I also will use marijuana when things get too bad, but with the Hempanol I have not had to use the marijuana. Take care!

Yes it does cause you to gain weight! Just what we need right?! I used to use it but switched to medical marijuana and stopped the gabapentin. Hope this helps😉

I've tried Gabapentin (Neurontin) it promoted anxiety and I discontinued treatment. I have found that stress reduction has been a great way to reduce inflammation along side dietary changes, and staying active.

Yes...weight gain. I do not have access to Med. Marijuana but I have decreased the Gabapentin after I started using Hempanol. It is a CBD coming from hemp. No THC in it so you can buy it through places like amazon. It works as a natural anti inflammatory.
