Do anyone know if you get SSDI or SSI and you would like to volunteer for like the Red Cross, can you jeopardize your benefits?

I recently applied for SSD and read on the MD Society's website that it could effect your benefit's approval if you are volunteering. However, it did not mention after you have been approved.
