14 years ago someone in my support group had no leisons anwywhere. Fast forward and she has many more ms symptoms. As mentioned I'm my story I was atypical and it took a while to get a diagnosis. I saw several neurologists and most were recommended by my neurologist. That is why I participated in an ms study, more observations. I think of each doctor as another research tool. I am fortunate to live where their is an abundance of options. I have also seen two neuropthomologists. I have no medical training and wouldn't assume to know what you have. It sounds horrible so I hope you can get some relief. Warm thoughts.

I had an Mri last year as neurologist said I had lots of symptoms for ms. Mri came back with no leisons, so not ms. Instead, they said I needed a laminectomy, nerves in my cervic
al spine are crushed so they needed freeing.
I had the opperation last Sept, but still have lots of the symptoms. My walking is terrible, I drag my foot, pain almost everywhere, my left side feels on fire most of the time.
Frequently going to the loo during the night, 4/5 times. Numbness and tingly feelings in my arms and legs.
Hopefully going to be referred back to the neurologist.

Orange...I have been seeing a Neurologist. I saw him on Thursday. The MRI I had in June was of the brain and came back normal. On Thursday he ordered an MRI with contrast of the optical nerves. I'm just wondering if I should request an MRI of the spine as well. Is it even necessary if the previous brain MRI was normal? I am absolutely not looking for a diagnosis of MS, just looking for answers.

For Me I woke up Paralyzed on Left Side. I went to ER where they said I had a Stroke was sent to a Neurologist where He did Cat Scan, MRI and Evoke Potential and said I had MS and I had not had a Stroke.

If available, go see a neurologist who specializes in ms. You may have to travel but if you've got it you may want to Have the option to be on a disease modifying rx.
