I have blind spots .... the most aggravating one is right up close & by the ground ... I keep not seeing things on the ground (or a curb) and tripping.

I have optic neuritis, quite common with MS. I see a neuro-optomologist once a year to keep an eye on it (all puns intended). My right eye, as my right side is more affected, has reduced colour and light perception as a result of the MS. I wish you luck and would ask my neurologist for a referral to an eye specialist.

I have had optic neuritis 3 times in a year and a half and have lost depth perception. But did get my eyesight back almost to the full extent. Sorry you have lost your eyesight.

Definitely since 2004 but I would guess since my first attack in 1999, I just didn't notice them. Truthfully in 2004 it was optometrist who noticed during an eye exam. The smaller spots your eyes tend to compensate for one another. Though now I will notice a blurry spot when reading sometimes. You would think since I'm naturally blind as a bat I could skip the blind spots ;)
