14 years and I often get goose egg size lumps that hurt and itch. I have found the fattier the injection site the less reaction. Did it so much in my stomach that I can't find any place left that is not a hard lump.
I always put hydrocortisone rx on the site reaction. Does help.

I also found that in addition to the awesome suggestions already mentioned, that the needle depth was really important. Once I got that right for each location (which did take a couple of months!) things got a LOT better. Also, make sure the shot is at room temperature. The nurse I worked with said that it's extra painful if the shot's contents are cold. I hope it gets better for you!! XX

I was on it for 6 years and towards the end, I had quite a few bee sting shots. I called the Copaxone nurse and began icing immediately after the shot. that helped, I would try your nurse. Rotate the injection sights. Copaxone's injector is very old school. I would ask the nurse about it and see if you need to adjust the pressure that you are applying when injecting (injector against skin) or depth of injection. Weight gain or loss can impact depth of injection. All the best, have you tried Benedryl ointment on the site?

i used to be on it and sometimes would have a large red swelling and very itchy. it would eventually go away and my injections were once every day. found my belly and thighs better for injection sites. kept rotating.

@A MyMSTeam Member I took Betaseron for 15 yrs. shooting the butt was hard to see where it went. I proabably unknowingly used the same site. Ended up with a calcified granuloma size of an egg!! Felt like I was sitting on a rock. Had it surgically removed.
