I am very inspired by Turmeric's benefits for MS and I want to include it in my diet. I bought Turmeric capsules to take after food, and Turmeric spice.
Does anyone know any special recipes with it ,and should I use high temperature to get the most out of it?
I take Turmeric in capsule form and add fresh to my cooking whenever possible (and I, like you, am not crazy about the taste, except in Indian dishes, but most of those have cream which I am avoiding, but when I use a lot of garlic, it covers it up a bit!) - and I also drink turmeric ginger tea (hot and iced). I've been doing that and taking Pau D'Arco - both are incredible anti-inflammatories....I definitely notice the reduction of inflammation in my right ankle (old soccer injury that likes to swell from time to time - hasn't swelled in months now and I attribute that to the anti-inflammatory supplements and the MITO food plan I'm using). The capsules don't have a bad taste...and they are readily available and inexpensive. So it the tea.
I do think I'm possibly taking too many supplements. I have an appt with my DR in a couple weeks to reevaluate all of that....
I don't like it in cooking but have been taking the capsules for a few years

I'm not sure it helps with MS symptoms
Ulcerative colitis
Turmeric may help people with ulcerative colitis stay in remission. Ulcerative colitis is a chronic disease of the digestive tract where symptoms tend to come and go. In one double-blind, placebo-controlled study, people whose ulcerative colitis was in remission took either curcumin or placebo, along with conventional medical treatment, for 6 months. Those who took curcumin had a significantly lower relapse rate than those who took placebo.
I add turmeric to the water when making all my rice . Lovely taste and looks good too.
I also add it to spicy meat balls or kebabs I make from mince and use a lot in my spicy curries or sauces.
Hot water and a spoon full and drink it down every day find it helps good for infamation all my best to you xo
