I was diagnosed with RRMS but woundered could it abe a different type of MS to the one originally diagnosed? I feel I have constant symptoms and never feel better and my head is always aching. I think it may be aifferent type of ms x
I think the category is important to insurance companies and drug makers.
All I can say is everybody's MS is different & though you were labeled as having RRMS, that may not have been correct It is possible that you have SPMS or PPMS so what I would say is maybe go to a different Doctor & get redianoised. It is not the MS that is wrong but rather the Doctor.
It can sometimes happen that it starts as RRMS and at some point progresses to PPMS.
Usually RR is the first diagnosis. Over time it can become PP.
But also remember that not every ache and pain is due to MS- there may be some other cause. Don't let the medical practitioners dump everything in the same basket.
