For the past several weeks I have had difficulty swallowing. I can swallow but it feels as if I have a huge lump in my throat. I have been to my GP but he cannot see/feel anything. He is referring me to ear/nose/throat specialist which will take time. I am just curious to know if anyone else has experienced this and whether it is a MS symptom.
Yes I have had problems swallowing in the past. The MS was causing my muscles in my esophagus to spasm. I had to purée most of my food and cut it up very thin. The doctor prescribed me a muscle relaxer which helped and it eventually got better! Just hang in there and try to relax I know it's nerve racking when your going through it! I hope it gets better soon!!
