I'd say the best advice is get good Neurologists Dr for MS and inform yourselves of this disease.
A good friend that already had MS got me into her Dr at the MS Ctr of Atlanta and had the Momentum magazine sent to me. We share info all the time too.

Hi there. I have had MS since 1991. Stay calm. Get lots of sleep. Stay cool. Cut out the stress,.

Keep active. Walk on a treadmill often. Move it or lose it.

Here is what I tell myself: "You are MORE than this moment !"
~ Things are going to happen.... embarrassing and frustrating things. Just know you are probably doing the best you can do until you can do better :)

What I have said: " I will NOT be made to feel embarrassed or ashamed for anything regarding an illness I have no control over or did not bring upon myself !"
~ Don't ever let anyone make you feel less.... because you are MORE than MS :)
