Does baclofen stop working or am i just getting worse?
I was Baclofen ONLY at night to help with muscle spasm’s at night because i felt the same way. But it seems to work when I’m asleep
Yes you can build an intolerance to Baclofen. However whether or not that's what has occurred you need to discuss this all with your Doctor. You first have to look at the dosage you're currently taking. . If you're not taking the max dosage which it typically 20mg 4x a day than perhaps the dosage needs to be reviewed. In general most Doctors initially RX 10 mg 3 or 4 times a day. Some will RX for a specific time day as in the case of the previous poster. Regardless you need to discuss this with your doctor. In some cases the Doctor will recommend a baclofen pump. This is surgically implanted with a feed directly to the spinal cord. You need only approximately on tenth the amount when administered by a pump than what you need to take orally.
I'm on baclofen for tightness and spasticity. Just started about 3 weeks ago. Low dose 10mg. Didn't do crap. I'm now at 10mg am, 5pm. Still not doing crap. I think I need to go up. I'm hoping it will make them more flexible so I can stretch better and walk without feeling weak. The week legs are scaring me.
It never worked for me. I am on Flexeral which works nicely.
I'm at 20 mg 4x's a day and on 12 mg (divided) of Tizanidine and medical cannabis, and I am wondering the exact same things. I've added massage therapy to try try and work with the never ending tightness and spasms. Massage has helped. I start an exercise program for people with MS next week because sometimes not moving is worse for tight muscles. If I don't start seeing some significant improvement with the addition of massage and exercise, I will be back on the phone trying to see what else can be done. This has to be my most frustrating symptom
