Did anyone also get tested for Lyme disease and/or have Lyme disease ruled out? I just heard a program stating that MS and Lyme ate closely related. And that Lyme can also cause lesions in the brain and spinal cord. So how from an MRI can lesions from MS and lesions from Lyme be differentiated ?

When first diagnosed with MS my parents were searching for something else because they had 2 close friends with PPMS. They heard of this wonderful doctor that had discovered that MS patients actually had Lyme's. After being pushed I went to him. Prior to my appointment I had 12 viles of blood taken. When I arrived for my appointment I brought my MRI and positive for MS on spinal tap.I never was seen by the Doctor, just the PA. He gave my a printout of the results. He said I had Lyme's. I asked him how he could say that when my test showed negative. He said it was a "false negative". What? I'm no idiot! I asked him if he wanted to see the MRIs. He said he didn't need to and gave me high doses of antibiotics. BTW I'm allergic to many anti biotics. When I told my parents they didn't understand why I wasn't excited. I didn't take the antibiotics. I knew it wasn't true. Finally I went and got my blood tested again. I was called in by a doctor who informed me that this Doctor had been mis diagnosing multiple patients and making big bucks on false hope. I ended up being a witness for the State of Michigan. The Dr was found guilty on 23 counts. He had a "cult like" following who badgered the witnesses. Luckily I went with my "gut" and didn't take the high dose antibiotics because some that did suffered from his treatment.

I was also tested for Lyme disease. They said it can only be cured if caught fast/early. If it's discovered at a later point there is no remedy. Mine was negative I think there is proof of it when they see the blood test. It looks similar on the MRI because of the damage that it causes.
I was told there are a lot of things that look like MS when the MRI is seen (numerous white "spots" on the MRI) and MS has to be confirmed by looking at the cerebral spinal fluid by means of the spinal tap.

I was tested 3 times for Lyme disease. Negative all 3 times.
