I never thought twice about getting more tattoos, seeing as I already have a lot and they’re all big, so I was planning on basically covering a lot of myself up. Well, now that I’ve been diagnosed, my research about tattoos and MS is confusing me. Is it ok or not? Is it dangerous somehow? Will I not be able to heal properly? Ive gotten 2 tattoos since diagnosis with no problem

Only thing I've heard is to be careful about the ink. Apparently some blues in the past had tiny metallic flakes that caused major problems with MRI's.

Tattoo ink can make it harder for MRI to pick up things so I'd avoid a skull or spine tattoo . :)

Nothing wrong with tattoos. Please get tested for Hepatitis C. It is a risk factor when getting tattoos, so be on the safe side and ask Dr for HCV test. Its just bloodwork. Good Luck!

I had a tattoo in 2004 and it healed perfectly, but my arm went to sleep for like a week.
It was ok after that, though.
